2009-10-30 - United Way of Central Kane County Successfully Fulfills Auditing Standards

Paula Yensen, Executive Director, announced the United Way of Central Kane County has received an excellent audit. Robert Tighe of Tighe, Kress & Orr notified the agency a management letter was not being issued this year because the internal control of the records kept by the staff is well organized and shows no weakness.  “The audit is conducted annually.” stated Executive Director, Paula Yensen.  “It is important for us to maintain a high standard of accountability and this is part of the process to document that our operations are transparent to all stakeholders who are involved with United Way.”   The Board of Directors for United Way of Central Kane County reviewed and approved the audit at the September 17th meeting. “It is critically important United Way Central Kane County meet the highest financial standards. We are gratified about this achievement,” stated John Neil, Board President.
